1. My name is Megan Katherine Strout. I started going by Meg two years because it would be easier for people to spell and remember when I was networking in the business world.
2. I was an officer in an organization for Christian Artists, even though I am not very artistic.
3. I do things specifically to make strangers smile.
4. I am the eldest of four kids. My brother is 1.5 years younger and my sisters (twins) are 4 years younger. They are some of the most unique, amazing people I have ever encountered and I'm honored to count them among some of my best friends.
5. I was in a rediculous boat wreck when I was 12 and broke my right arm.
6. Growing up, I owned horses but I had to pay for everything by myself. This meant that I worked all week to pay for feed, tack, vet bills and fencing. Because of this I know how to give shots, bandage wounds and a number of other things. It taught me responsibility and the value of hard work.
7. I crack bullwhips. This was a result of a bet. Needless to say, I won. My personal whip is 22 feet long and sounds like a shotgun. :)
8. Dressing up is fun and I wear skirts often because they make me feel like a girl!
9. I took Majors Biology in college when I was 16.
10. Riding my old road bike is the best way to unwind after a long day.
11. I have a scar on my top lip from being hit in the face by a cue ball while watching a game of pool. My first words after being hit were "Are my teeth still there?"
12. I sing a bit! Jazz is my favorite but I prefer to sing with someone!
13. I am fascinated by Social Media and it's impacts on society.
14. I have some amazing friends. Seriously.
15. I have never had a boyfriend.
16. I love to listen and ask questions. There is so much to learn and so many wise people to learn from!
17. My brain thinks in harmony. Three part harmony to be exact. I can rarely listen to music without thinking the harmony in my head. (This includes Rap, Techno, Screamo and everything else.)
18. I have been to public school, private school, in a homeschooling co-op, attended Tyler Junior College and Texas A&M. While I love learning, I am not fond of school.
19. I love ballroom dancing. Salsa, Waltz, Tango, Swing etc.
20. On a similar note, I can't club dance at all. Not even a little bit.
21. I am learning to cook and bake...both are a work in progress! Tips are welcome!
22. I understand a bit of French and Spanish but I can only speak English.
23. I worked for Pine Cove Christian Camps off and on for the past 10 years and my camp name is BuckShot.
24. In 2007 I went to Tunisia, Africa and fell in love with the country, the coffee and traveling! I will take almost any opportunity to go somewhere new.
25. The first thing I do in the morning is say good morning to my scruffy dog, Jack!
